ABOUT NADINE

Since my first job in City Hall, I have worked in and had a passion for public service. For nearly two decades, I have dedicated my personal and professional life to serving others and it would be my honor to serve as your newest City Council Member.

My husband and I decided to purchase our first home in College Place. The greatest strength of our City is the sense of community. Neighbors genuinely care about each other, and I want to provide more opportunities for neighbors to get to know each other. This can be accomplished through an additional focus on outdoor recreation opportunities and active community engagement. It is imperative that we engage youth by partnering with nonprofits to offer after-school recreational activities. I have noticed that students who are connected with the community tend to succeed.

I will help our community grow by providing opportunities for businesses to thrive through support programs and further development of the College Avenue corridor. Working on the Utilities and Transportation Advisory Commission gave me specific insight into the looming traffic and storm water issues.

If elected, I will serve with integrity and as a voice for underrepresented communities in College Place.

PRIORITIES

Demonstrating Servant Leadership:

Nadine actively serves her community as the chair of the inaugural College Place Diversity Inclusion Advisory Board, Lions Club President and member of the Blue Zones Project Engagement Team

Promoting Economic Growth:

Nadine will be a champion for new business creation by providing resources for burgeoning entrepreneurs to get their businesses off the ground. While she supports helping our existing, local businesses grow.

Developing Strong Infrastructure:

Nadine actively supports the city seeking grants and funding to improve roads, traffic flow, and walkability. Only 30% of College Place has sidewalks. Our seniors and families need and deserve better accessibility.
